Since 2007, MESH has been working with the UK based operations of the Discovery Channel. From an initial brief to develop emergency response systems, the MESH involvement has evolved to ensure Discovery are consistently achieving compliance and best practice throughout Europe, The Middle East, and Africa.
As part of this work, MESH has undertaken a detailed Health and Safety audit of the Discovery operations based out of the London office. The findings were presented in a detailed report to senior management along with a number of recommendations.
As part of the report the recommendations were developed into a two-year action plan aimed at bringing Discovery operations to a consistent level of Health and Safety best practice.
As requested by senior management, we have also undertaken a series of audits across eight of the operations throughout Europe. These audits have focused on both the health & safety and building operations for the sites. Full reports were completed for each site and an executive overview presented to the senior management team.-
We were commissioned to review the health and safety systems across a number of government departments within the Welsh Assembly. The process involved MESH arranging a series of interviews with key personnel at various levels within the Welsh Assembly Government.
Senior staff in each department were interviewed and asked to provide evidence of how health and safety was being managed throughout their area of responsibility. These interviews were then followed up by undertaking both a paper trail review and by visiting various locations to gather evidence.
Finally, detailed reports were submitted to the health and safety department of the Welsh Assembly Government. - East Malling Research (EMR) is
the principal UK provider of top-class basic, strategic and applied
horticultural research and development for the perennial crops sector.
MESH has worked with EMR staff to carry out a range of inspections
covering its laboratory, glasshouse and farm operations. These inspections
have provided EMR with information on how effectively they are controlling
risks, and how well they are developing a positive Health and Safety
culture.
- MESH worked with a large paper company in
Kent to complete audits across its various sites in the UK and Europe.
These audits provided the management team with a feedback loop on
the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems in place. By having
this information the management were able to allocate resources
more effectively and provide line management with targeted objectives.
- MESH was requested to undertake a ‘gap
analysis’ for a large soft fruit supplier. The client attended
a MESH training session for Business Link, and realised that their
current systems appeared to be inadequate. Consequently, MESH undertook a review of the Health & Safety system in order for the Directors
board to make an informed decision on how this system would function
in the future.
- MESH have extensive experience of carrying out
inspections and audits on construction sites and Streetworks operations across the South East and London.
- MESH was employed by Fourayes Farm Ltd to develop its health and safety systems to the status of world class. The starting point was to undertake a two-day inspection of the company's manufacturing operations where around 80 staff are employed. The findings from this inspection were used to both train senior management and key staff and to develop an action plan that takes health and safety forward to achieve the world-class status desired.
