Please see below examples of clients throughout the UK that Mesh have provided with policy development services.
- Since 2007, MESH has been working with the UK based operations of the Discovery Channel. From an initial brief to develop emergency response systems, the MESH involvement has evolved to ensure Discovery are consistently achieving compliance and best practice throughout Europe, The Middle East, and Africa.
As part of this work, MESH has updated the Health and Safety policy for the Discovery operations across the region.
MESH continues to work with Discovery to build upon the Health and Safety policy and implement robust Health and Safety systems across the region.
- East Malling Research (EMR) is the principal
UK provider of top-class basic, strategic and applied horticultural
research and development for the perennial crops sector. EMR had previously
been part of the civil service as HRI and needed to create Health
and Safety systems that represented its new identity. MESH carried
out a detailed review of the existing Management Systems and through
consultation with the management teams, the systems and procedures
were re-aligned to legislative and organisational requirements. These
systems were greatly simplified and were made more user friendly for
both management and staff.
- Bethany nursing homes care for clients with
special needs. This sector is highly regulated and MESH were requested
by the management to undertake a review of the Health and Safety policies,
as these are regularly reviewed as part of the inspections carried
out by the health authorities. MESH worked with management and staff
to develop comprehensive yet workable policies that met both legislative
and management requirements. The homes have since received complementary
feedback on their Health and Safety systems from the subsequent inspections.
- The Delta House Group is a small air conditioning
manufacturing and installation company based in Kent. MESH was asked
to develop Health and Safety policies that could be used to demonstrate
to its clients a clear commitment to Health and Safety. Working with
the client, policies were developed that reflected the companies operations.
Through this process a number of improvements were identified in order
for the company to meet its legal obligations.
- The Paint Team asked MESH to assist them to develop an effective
Health & Safety policy that they could provide upon request to
their commercial clients. As a small company they were bogged down
by a mass of guidance notes provided by the HSE. We were able to work
with the client to understand their business from which we produced
a policy tailored to their operations. The management were highly
pleased with the results and commented that it's a policy they could
associate to and work with.
- MESH was asked to look at the health and safety systems for the
European operations of Cypress semiconductors, these being wholly
sales based. The work undertaken in conjunction with management led
to new policy documents being created that reflected the structure
of the sales operation. MESH is also providing training to staff on
the new policies by attending the regular sales meetings.
- MESH has worked with Sign 2000, a progressive sign manufacturing and installation company employing around 40 staff, to improve its health and safety systems. By working closely with key personnel and through carrying out inspections of operations both on and off site MESH were able to build a detailed knowledge of the companies operations. Armed with this information, policies were developed that reflected the companies operations and addressed the key health and safety issues.
