We have recently gone through our three yearly NEBOSH audit and were informed we are the first centre in the South to pass the audit without any corrective actions. This was great news to us as it supports what we are providing to our students; which is first class training and exceptional pass rates.
As the auditor remarked we consistently are achieving pass rates of 90% plus against a national average of around 65%. He also commented about how many of our students also achieve Distinction level passes and agreed on the importance of setting such high standards.
It was interesting to hear about a number of other NEBOSH accredited training centres whom seem not to be so interested in helping their students to a successful pass. Some it appears haven’t kept up to date with what NEBOSH requires then to cover in the training and some will chop and change their trainers and even use trainers who are not suitably qualified to deliver the training. NEBOSH are tightening down on these centres and are insisting on improvements and in extreme cases have removed centre accreditations. That’s great news we think.
Following this successful audit I relayed our good news to a new client who had sent a supervisor to a Kent based college and had been less than impressed with what training they had received. This centre might have seemed a cheap option initially but as the supervisor had not passed they had been left asking what now; the college seemed not able to provide the answers.
We talked through how we could help and support the supervisor to achieve a successful result.
If only he had come to MESH in the first place and booked on our premium course he would have received a pass guarantee that is unique to any other training centre. The guarantee is if a candidate fails to pass we will continue to tutor them for free and pay for the next exam; this may seem a little more expensive but truly is great value and something most centres couldn’t hope to offer. It’s certainly not an offer he received from the college he went to initially; perhaps this is because they don’t have the confidence in their trainers like we do.
So before you look at what you might pay for a NEBOSH certificate course, remember to ask what you are getting for your money. In some instances what appears to be cheap is only cheap because what you get really is inferior quality training and aftercare support.
