MESH was asked to deliver Manual Handling Training to staff at the Advisory Services Kent team (part of Kent County Council) in 2009. The training was focussed around the types of manual handling activities that would be carried out by the staff. A key focus was to identify to the staff the importance of carrying out a mental risk assessment before undertaking a manual handling activity. The feedback from the staff was that the training was well received.
