The personnel manager had approached MESH based on feedback he had received from other parts of the DS Smith Paper group and enquired if a one day programme could be delivered on-site in Wansbrough.
The training was designed to open the eyes of the team leaders and the potential next group of team leaders and supervisors to the importance of health and safety to both the organisation and to them personally.
A one day highly interactive session was designed to fit the business and the paper sector the business fits into. The result was to turn around the thinking of the groups; who initially had seen the training as “no not another health and safety session and why do we need to be here” into a positive day.
