MESH provided manual handling training for Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, focused on workshop staff and the environment that they work in. The key was to address the types of manual handling issues encountered rather than the standard ‘how to lift a box’, delivered by many trainers. The attendees were able to look at the manual handling issues they had previously considered, and saw that there was very little option for improvement. Many of these issues were quickly solved following the training session.
