MESH provides ongoing expert advice and the undertaking of the Competent Persons role to East Malling Research (EMR). EMR employs around 100 staff split between scientific and farm operations. MESH is employed on-site for two days per month to assist the in-house safety team. The benefit of this to EMR is that they have access to highly experienced competent Health and Safety expertise, at a fraction of the cost of employing in-house. MESH have revamped the Health and Safety systems at EMR, assisted in risk assessments, attend Health and Safety meetings, delivered extensive training and advised management on a wide range of issues.
