The main activities revolve around the use of GRP (fibre glass) technology involving resins, gelcoats, catalysts and solvents. The task for MESH was to determine if sufficient controls were in place to prevent either a fire or a flammable atmosphere developing.
Each assessment included a detailed review of working practices, systems of work, maintenance, inspection records, training and competence of staff.
From the reviews undertaken detailed reports and action plans were issued to guide Fairline in achieving both compliance and best practice in relation to both the Fire and DSEAR regulations.
