This 2013 assessment was focused upon the health issues as required under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH 2002). The assessment looked at whether Integritank HF is indeed safe to use in a “confined space” environment and to comment on any ongoing hazards and additional control measures that may be necessary.
MESH are not tunneling specialists; we did however review the RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) created by Stirling Lloyd and these were considered in the assessment.
This report produced also looked at how Integritank HF compares to the other standard materials used commonly in confined spaces such as cement and sprayed concrete; as we understand that these would have been used to build any SCL tunnel.
