What did we do?

The DSEAR assessment was required in order that the the company could prove to Gatwick Airport that additional local exhaust ventilation was not needed (which would have been costly to install).

The new restaurant planned for Gatwick Airport would include a pasta making facility that will be fully enclosed in a glass booth inside the restaurant. It is here that the flour, water and egg powder would be mixed. Additionally the separate storage area would be be used for storage and the decanting and transfer of bags of flour into specially designed trolleys for transportation to the restaurant.

MESH were asked to provide an independent assessment of the risks to enable Jamies Italian to gain sign-off from Gatwick Technical departments.
