The south factory was the facility monitored which houses a wide range of work equipment running over a double shift period. The key area of concern from the insurers was the two large routers that are operated; to determine is improvements were needed in acoustic controls.
A full survey of all work equipment was completed and recommendations were fed back to the company. Overall it was confirmed the company was already making good efforts at controlling noise exposure levels and the report only identified where further improvements were possible.
