Fiberweb based on the Blackwater Industrial Estate, Maldon in Essex produces non woven melt blown materials such as fencing, matting and webbing using extrusion machines. Plastic sheeting is also printed with solvent based inks prior to slitting to form tape. The capabilities also include a gas fired laminating process and a gluing process. The facility operates 24/7 days per week.
The findings of the survey was that the site manages its risks well but that there was room for some improvements; these were presented in the report to the company.
